Cookie Policy
Extended cookie information notice pursuant to the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021 ("Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools") and EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that visited sites store on the user’s device. They allow the site to work efficiently, remember user preferences and — when authorised — collect analytics or marketing data. Alongside cookies, the site may use similar technologies such as LocalStorage, SessionStorage and pixels, which are subject to the same rules.
2. Categories of cookies used
a) Technical / preference cookies
Strictly necessary for the site to function or to save user preferences. They do not require consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.

b) Anonymous analytics (Matomo cookieless)
Navigation statistics are collected through Matomo installed on the same server as the site (Serverplan, Italy) and configured in cookieless mode with IP anonymisation. No persistent cookies are stored on the device, the IP is truncated at /24 subnet level, no cross-site identifiers are created and no profiling is carried out.
In accordance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021, analytics configured this way are equivalent to technical cookies and do not require prior consent.

c) Third-party cookies and embeds
The following services are loaded only with express consent via the banner. In the absence of consent the content is not loaded: a neutral placeholder is shown instead of the map, and the reviews widget is not displayed.

The site does not use advertising cookies, profiling cookies, remarketing or third-party marketing trackers. No newsletter or commercial tracking tools are in place.
3. Fonts and external resources
The typefaces used on the site (Cormorant Garamond and Inter) are self-hosted on our server: no calls are made to Google Fonts or other external CDNs, so no cookies are set and no navigation data is transferred to third parties to load the fonts.
4. Managing consent
On the first visit a consent banner is shown allowing the user to:
- accept all cookies;
- reject third-party cookies (one-click reject);
- customise choices by category.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the Manage cookies link in the footer of every page.
5. Disabling cookies via the browser
You can also disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may impair the proper functioning of the site.

- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data

6. Consent recording
To meet the obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 7.1 GDPR), the choice made is stored in two ways:
- in your browser via LocalStorage (key
villaneve_consent_v1), so that the banner is shown only if you have not yet decided or if the policy version has changed; - on our server — consent data (UTC timestamp, anonymised /24 IP, choices made, policy version) is archived in a MySQL database hosted on the same server as the site (Serverplan, Italy). Retention: 12 months.
No consent data is transmitted to third-party servers or external platforms.
7. Management tool
The graphical interface of the consent banner is provided by Silktide Consent Manager (silktide.com). The library is loaded via script directly from the site’s hosting and exclusively manages the presentation of the banner and reading/writing of the preference in LocalStorage. Server-side consent recording takes place exclusively on our server.

10. Updates
The controller reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy in case of changes to the services used or to regulatory changes. The current version and date of the last update are shown at the top of the document. In case of substantial changes, consent will be requested again through the banner.
